The Guidance Department at Enrico Fermi High School facilitates the educational experience of students by assisting with course selection and schedule adjustments, offering academic, personal/social and career counseling, facilitating post-high school planning, publishing scholarship information and processing transcripts for students and alumni. To a large extent, services are delivered using a developmental model designed to respond to the needs of all students. To that end, there is a growing emphasis on working with students through classroom activities and structured group experiences.
School Counselors are Mrs. Heather Aselton, Mr. Frank Genovese, Ms. Karen Gustafson, Mrs. Elaine Helberg, and Mrs. Miriam Lappen, Department Chair. The counselors, together with Guidance Secretaries Mrs. Mary Beth Lamagna and Mrs. Lisa Parkman, Career Specialist Mrs. Ginny Smith, make up the Guidance team and provide a wide range of services. Members of the Guidance Department can be reached at (860) 763-8821.
